IT Support Technician

Summary of Position
The IT Support Technician will be involved with the support and maintenance of the First Flight Health Centers technical equipment. The duties include being a point of contact for IT related questions at the user level, and responding to user needs in a timely manner, among other duties. Work may also occasionally include technical equipment set up and minor equipment repairs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide friendly, practical support for computers, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, phones, fax machines, and other desk hardware.

Provide technical support to employees or customers via phone, email, or in person

Maintain accurate notes on issues, fixes, equipment changes, and recurring problems

Escalate issues appropriately when a problem requires deeper vendor or leadership involvement

Set up new user accounts, systems, and equipment (computers, printers, mobile devices)

Assist with maintaining the asset management program

Assist with HIPAA compliant equipment destruction
-
Assist with network troubleshooting, including connectivity and security issues

Assist with routine system maintenance, upgrades, and backups
-
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and procedures

Train users on basic IT functions and best practices

Establish and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues
-
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Abilities
-
Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365
-
Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)

Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair

Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/Registration
-
1-3 years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, field technician, or related experience
-
Working knowledge of Windows computers, user accounts, printers, scanners, fax machines, VOIP phones and other common office equipment.

Basic networking knowledge

Experience with remote support tools
-
Ability to lift and move typical office technology equipment as needed

Valid drivers license and ability to travel between offices as needed

Experience with NextGen EHR System preferred but not required
